Whereas German red wine is a walk on the wild side, some of its vintners are looking at closing the gap in the world's Pinot Noir market: the world is slowly re-discovering this grape and there's only so much wine that Burgundy and the new-world can create. Pinot Noir is an important part of German viticulture being the most planted red grape in the whole country.
